Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce egg white
  • 3-4 drops of Angostura bitters
  • Orange wheel and cherry (garnish)

Direction

  1. Add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white to the cocktail shaker.
  2. Dry shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  3. Remove the shaker lid, add ice and shake again for approximately 10-15 more seconds.
  4. Double-strain (using both the Hawthorne and fine-mesh strainer) the shaker contents into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with 3 or 4 drops of Angostura bitters.
  5. Add an orange wheel and cheery to a cocktail pick for final garnish.
