Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces rye whiskey or bourbon
- 3/4 ounce vanilla liqueur
- 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 ounce egg white
- 2 ounces sparkling water
Direction
- Combine all ingredients except for the sparkling water in the cocktail shaker.
- Dry shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds without ice.
- Add ice and shake again for an additional 10-15 seconds.
- Double-strain (using both the Hawthorne and fine-mesh strainer) the shaker contents over the chilled cocktail glass.
- Top with half of the sparkling water and stir to build up a good fizz. Wait a moment for it to subside, then top with the remaining sparkling water.
